Lone Lærke Krog

My name is Lone Lærke Krog. I am a journalist, a native of Thy, and I have been a volunteer in Thy National Park since 2010. I provide information about nature and cultural history on bus and hiking tours.

BUS TOUR:

We can arrange a meeting point where I board the bus, sharing information about Thy National Park and the most interesting places along the route.

I can tell you about: 

• How the landscapes originated and efforts to tame nature 
• Sand drift, attempts to control it through afforestation, and the unique nature that characterizes the area today. 
• The harsh working conditions for fishermen along the west coast and the living conditions of families in the heathland in the old days.

The tour can be tailored flexibly to your needs and preferences. Below are a couple of examples: 

• Three hotspots in three hours – Lodbjerg Lighthouse, Stenbjerg, and Thagaards Plantation – DKK 1800 excl. VAT. 
• Lodbjerg Lighthouse and Thy National Park (including a short walk in the dune landscape) – DKK 1200 excl. VAT.

HIKING TOUR:

For groups, I can also be booked for guided hikes. Location and scope by agreement. Maximum 15 people.

My personal favorite is the Lodbjerg Lighthouse and Penbjerg route - with plant bingo. 3 hours for DKK 1800 excl. VAT.

For individual tourists, there is an opportunity to participate in scheduled tours on certain dates.
